“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. ~ Matthew 5:14-16 ~

Isaiah
I just finished reading through the book of Isaiah. There are so many wonderful treasures speaking of our Lord and Savior. There are many verses speaking of God's care for us and His foreknowledge. Amid judgment for the nations, the Lord shows forth His compassion for His people. God's faithfulness is clearly seen. The book of Hebrews quotes Isaiah and Isaiah has numerous passages speaking about the birth of our Lord. My favorite Old Testament books are Deuteronomy, Psalms, Ruth, and Isaiah.
